Check out the highlights between Sterns Trailer and Horn Law from last night at the JSBL:

In the first game the NJ Tarheels played T&T Coast. It seems that the NJ Tarheels are doing well as of late, when they have their players attending the games as they have won 2 out of their last 3 games, and the two games they won, Tyrone O’Garro was present. The former Monmouth forward and current redshirt junior for FDU has come out and shown that he has developed his game a great deal, now showing range out to beyond the arc, unbelievable athleticism and a defensive instinct that goes along with his natural rebounding ability. Unfortunately, there is no footage from this game but NJ Tarheels are an exciting team to watch, as they have size and athleticism, making numerous plays above the rim, with a leaning dunk from the second hashmark outside the paint by O’Garro definitely highlighting the night. The NJ Tarheels beat T&T Coast 105-101 in an exciting game. T&T Coast was down by more than 20 points in the third quarter but rallied together and made a great come back, cutting the game to just one point, being 95-94 NJ Tarheels leading with 2:43 to go in regulation. Ultimately, NJ Tarheels were able to handle the full court press and make their free throws, mainly through Thomas Bonacum, to seal the win.

Next, arguably the two best teams in the JSBL played each other last night, that being Sterns Trailer against Horn Law Group. Horn Law Group came into the game undefeated 6-0 and Sterns Trailer having lost only one game 5-1. The game was fast paced as both teams pitched the ball ahead and were always in attack mode, either looking for transition threes or finishes at the basket. Sterns Trailer just had more fire power as Jerome Hubbard was unconscious from behind the arc, knocking down three triples in the final two minutes to lead Sterns Trailer to an 115-105 victory over Horn Law Group, handing them their first lost of the summer. Deon Jones was notably an outstanding player for them as he finished the game with a strong double-double scoring 24 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Sterns Trailer and Horn Law Group are both at 6 wins and 1 loss, with Horn Law Group still at the top of the league’s rankings because they won against Larson Ford who Sterns Trailer lost to.

Come out to the games tonight, starting 7:15 pm and 8:45 pm at Wall Township High School. Don’t miss the fun!
