The DSN summer league has drawn to a close and all that’s left are the lessons learned and the thrilling outlook towards the future. Upon closing out each championship game, the first and second placed teams were rewarded for their hard fought seasons with trophies and team photos, as well as personally crafted speeches from the league director Aaron Shasha himself. To top it all off, coaches gave the name of who they believed exemplified the most prolific leadership ability on and off the court, and granted them with an MVP trophy for all their hard work.
A sometimes overlooked aspect of the camp/clinic are the one on one lesson segments taught by Findaballer’s staff and coaches, some of whom are currently playing at a Division 1 level of competition. At these lessons, students are put through a series of drills designed specifically for their desired play style, allowing for optimal growth out of each and every kid.
Here at DSN we hope that every player leaves camp with something learned, both about basketball and themselves. We look forward to seeing you all again next year as we look to push ahead and make improvements, just make sure you get that practice in!
